Synchronization of coupled Kuramoto oscillators under resource constraints

چکیده
A fundamental understanding of synchronized behavior in multi-agent systems can be acquired by studying analytically tractable Kuramoto models. However, such models typically diverge from many real whose dynamics evolve under non-negligible resource constraints. Here we construct a system coupled oscillators that consume or produce resources as function their oscillation frequency. At high coupling, observe strongly dynamics, whereas at low coupling independent oscillator expected standard For intermediate which induces partially state, empirically (and theoretically explain why) the exist either (i) state order parameter oscillates time, (ii) multiple synchronization states are simultaneously stable. Whether occurs depends upon whether resources, respectively. Relevant for varied neurons and social groups, our study lays important groundwork future efforts to develop quantitative predictions embedded environments marked sparse resources.

Synchronization of Kuramoto Oscillators via Cutset Projections
Synchronization in coupled oscillators networks is a remarkable phenomenon of relevance in numerous fields. For Kuramoto oscillators the loss of synchronization is determined by a trade-off between coupling strength and oscillator heterogeneity. Despite extensive prior work, the existing sufficient conditions for synchronization are either very conservative or heuristic and approximate. Using a...
متن کاملSingle Interconnection of Kuramoto Coupled Oscillators
In this work, we analyze the almost global synchronization property of sinusoidally coupled oscillators. In contrast with previous works, we introduce an approach that uses the strong basic facts of algebraic graph theory to prove dynamical properties of the standard symmetric Kuramoto model. We show how we can interconnect two (or several) systems via bridges, keeping the almost global synchro...
متن کاملSynchronization of coupled biological oscillators under spatially heterogeneous environmental forcing.
Spatially heterogeneous intensities of environmental signals are common in nature, being caused, e.g., by rugged or curved surfaces leading to varying angles of incidence and intensities. In this work, we perform numerical studies of one-dimensional arrays of coupled phase oscillators driven by a periodic signal with spatially heterogeneous amplitude, considering both random and gradual amplitu...
متن کاملExperimental study of synchronization of coupled electrical self-oscillators and comparison to the Sakaguchi-Kuramoto model.
We explore the collective phase dynamics of Wien-bridge oscillators coupled resistively. We carefully analyze the behavior of two coupled oscillators, obtaining a transformation from voltage to effective phase. From the phase dynamics we show that the coupling can be quantitatively described by Sakaguchi's modification to the Kuramoto model. We also examine an ensemble of oscillators whose freq...
